THE ARTIST:
Born in Banbury in 1952 to Polish refugee parents, the family subsequently moved to Birmingham.
From the age of 11 Stanislav embarked on studying art.
TRAINING:
Moseley Road Art School; Hurlston Design Studio.
EXPERIENCE: Designer and Art Director in several advertising
agencies over a period of 8 years; freelance illustrator for a number of years working on poster
campaigns for national publications and television companies.
AWARDS:
1997 winner of Solomon Whitehead National painting competition. Entry submitted for 1999
Windsor and Newton International Painting Competition.
EXHIBITIONS:
Stanislav's sole exhibition has been at Jane Powell's Art Gallery at Kenilworth. He
relies principally on sales by private treaty and placing his work through auction houses.
He has entered oils for sale at Christies (wildlife oil fetching 4 times the reserve price)
and Sotheby's (wildlife oil fetching twice the reserve price) and has wildlife paintings
entered in forthcoming sales at Christies and Bonhams.
