Scot Howden - Derbyshire

THE ARTIST:
Scot was born in Sheffield in 1967. At the age of one he emigrated with his family to Australia. This began a series of moves that took him around the world. After undertaking courses in Psychology and Business at Stirling and Sheffield universities, he moved with his family from Switzerland to the Peak District, England. He now works from his Studio and home in Hartington, Derbyshire where he derives inspiration for landscape painting from the spectacular Peak District landscape. Scot is known for his atmospheric water-colour paintings of the Peak District as well as his fantasy and figure painting. His work has appeared on calendars, greeting cards and in numerous newspaper and magazine publications.
