Rodney Ison - Lancashire

THE ARTIST:
Graduated from grammar School 1955 Leicester. Following this the artist became an apprentice in woodcarving and gilding. Between 1956 and 1961 he attended Leicester College of art day release and evenings. He continued working in framemaking and restoration 1961-64 before moving to Lancashire where he began exhibiting in local galleries, continuing to work as a framemaker on a part-time basis.

In 1984 he took over Richard Haworth Art dealers, Blackburn, as a permanent venue for displaying his work until 1998.
