Joel Merriner - Cornwall
THE ARTIST:
I was born in Bath in 1970. After spending my early childhood in Australia and New Zealand, where my interest in wildlife began, I moved with my family to Cornwall, where I have lived on and off for over twenty years. In 1990-'92 I studied Wildlife Illustration at Carmarthen College of Technology and Art, gaining a HND in the subject.

After leaving college I spent some time working in the animation business as a storyboard artist, until several years ago when I decided to concentrate on my wildlife art. Since then I have exhibited work locally and nationwide, and have produced pieces for the World Wide Fund for Nature and the International Primate Protection league.
