THE ARTIST:
Tracy Hall was born in St.Ives, Cornwall, daughter of potter John Struthers. She first came to
Orkney in 1986 and lives with her husband and two young children on the shores of Scapa Flow.
A fascination with colour, form and texture, together with a lifelong love of nature, have
always influenced her work. During the 1980's, she ran her own handknitwear business and later
moved on to making hand-hooked rugs. By the mid-nineties she had begun to concentrate on
drawing and painting and has exhibited locally and in France, also selling her work through
craft shops and galleries.
She paints highly detiled botanical studies, animals, scenes of nature and rural life in
original watercolours and limited edition prints. She is happy to accept commissions and
delivery can be arranged worldwide.
