Michael Linsey

THE ARTIST:
Michael Linsey was born in Harrow and educated locally. He passed the entrance exam for Harrow School of Art at the age of thirteen. The next three years were spent studying drawing and illustration plus taking the commercial art course, this enabling him to get his first job at sixteen with a London Advertising Agency.

He later travelled through Europe, Russia, the Middle East and India, eventually arriving in Melbourne, Australia where he worked in the advertising department of the famous Myers Emporium.

Now a full-time painter, his paintings cover a wide range of subjects including landscapes, seascapes and interiors.
